California Space Industrial Base Vitality
CSA facilitated development of a space-related manufacturing and infrastructure initiative as part of the 2004 California Space Enterprise Strategic Plan. The purpose of the initiative is to sustain and enhance these areas in California. To facilitate implementation of this initiative, CSA is in the process of forming a statewide collaborative to be responsible for implementation of initiative-related performance objectives.

Marketing
California Space Authority maintains an active annual marketing schedule which includes speaking engagements, conference and trade show participation, hosting of roundtables and issue forums, as well as maintenance of a California space enterprise website. CSA's SpaceBound! newsletter and SpotBeam California, CSA's electronic bulletin, are distributed to thousands of space stakeholders and influence-makers nationwide.

Public and Policymaker Awareness
CSA facilitated development of a public and policymaker awareness initiative as part of the 2004 California Space Enterprise Strategic Plan. Its purpose is to educate the general public and California policymakers – local, State and Federal – about the benefits, scope and needs of California space enterprise. To facilitate implementation of this initiative, CSA is in the process of forming a statewide collaborative to be responsible for implementation of initiative-related performance objectives.
Space Education and Workforce Development
As part of the 2004 California Space Enterprise Strategic Plan, CSA facilitated development of an initiative to enhance space-related education and to ensure an appropriate 21st century space workforce. Space Enterprise Business Development, Retention and Growth
CSA facilitated development of a business development, retention and growth initiative for California as part of the 2004 California Space Enterprise Strategic Plan (pdf. The purpose of the initiative is to provide a positive, supportive business climate and space enterprise environment, addressing obstacles to and opportunities for, California space enterprise competitiveness.
