IWHEREAS, large clusters of space enterprise manufacturers have settled in California thereby making this state one of the few in the nation with the end-to-end capabilities of research and design, manufacture, launch, and systems management; and

WHEREAS, as growth in space enterprise services such as global positioning systems, remote sensing and satellite imaging continues to evolve from an industry dominated by governmental contracts to one that is commercially-driven and project oriented, our community is certain to build upon our economic foundation as new markets are created by the demands of consumers.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, TERRY E. CALDWELL, MAYOR of the City of Victorville do hereby join the other members of the CITY COUNCIL and all the citizens of Victorville in expressing our support of the California Space Authority and all California-based space assets that work to improve, protect and enhance our quality of life.
