The establishment of a new Cyber Command is a step toward preparing the service for future conflicts in which military strength through kinetic weaponry is expected to fade. The focus of this new command will be on cyber and electronic warfare and defense of US critical infrastructure networks that support not only military communications, but the civilian economic cyber-infrastructure including telecommunications, utilities, transportation, e-commerce and banking systems. The Air Force is designated to stand up this new command.
We are asking for your support in siting the Cyber Command in California, specifically at Beale Air Force Base. It is our goal to show a statewide, unified position of support. Letters of support from your companies and from local and state government leaders with whom you network are essential to accomplish this broad-based voice of support.
