YC-15 Dedicated on Edwards Air Force Base Tuesday Morning

Coming soon to a media source (AV Press, Time Warner SoCal News 3, Boeing News Now) near you. The YC-15 was dedicated in a short, but hot ceremony this morning on Edwards AFB. The aircraft, technolog demonstrator for and forerunner to, today's C-17 airlifter resides at the Century Circle just outside of the main or west gate of the Air Force Flight Center/Edwards AFB. The aircraft was configured for transport and travelled across part of desert from Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale on Sunday, May 4th, 2008.
