Working for California Space Stakeholders
The California Space Authority (CSA) supports the space industry, space-strategic California regions and other space stakeholders in a variety of ways:
Stakeholder/Industry Support
Provides a strong industry voice in development of public policies. Spearheads major space iniatives such as the California Space Infrastructure Program (CSIP). Implements the statewide California Space Strategic Plan and is developing The California Space Integration Master Plan (SIMP) to foster coordination of space development within California State government. Sponsors forums and conferences for critical industry/government dialogue. Facilitates public/private programs, interfaces and development.
Policymaker Education
Enhances public and governmental awareness of space development to regional, state and national economies. Expresses industry input on space policy/regulations.
Industry Attraction/Retention
Supports industry-friendly statewide business environment. Positions California as a premier global space center.
Education/Workforce Development
Supports initiatives, develops programs to ensure a world-class statewide labor pool.
Program/Resource Development
Introduces and enhances programs/resources to support California's statewide space development: research, venture capital, infrastructure investment, etc.
