| Systems Safety Specialist
Project: Design, implement, and manage all requisite elements of the Occupational Safety and Systems Safety Program. Analyze complex environmental, behavioral and safety related issues and develop policies, procedures and programs to ensure regulatory compliance. Design, implement, and administer training programs for regulatory compliance. Conduct regular audits for compliance requirements of both Federal and State Occupational Health and Safety Programs. Report to management on the overall health and safety program and chair the Safety Working Group with the United States Air Force.
Requisite Skills:
- Knowledge, understanding and working familiarity with MIL-STD 882, as tailored, EWRR 127-1, OSHA Process Safety Management (29CFR 1910.119) and Federal, State, and Local health and safety regulations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be computer and software proficient.
Experience and Education:
Education: Bachelors degree or higher in safety, engineering, industrial technology, environmental or related field of science or its equivalent in related experience.
Experience: One plus years of recent and relevant experience in environmental and safety operations within the aerospace industry, preferably within the Department of Defense are required. Experience in interacting with environmental and safety regulatory personnel, managing contractors/subcontractors, and supervising professional and technical employees.
Engineer IV - Lead
Project: Aerospace Support Services Contract (ASSC, VAFB, CALIFORNIA)
Under the direction of Mgmt will provide technical leadership to Engineering department. Plan, manage, and control the engineering organization €™s assigned activities. Applies extensive experience and judgment to engineering duties. Familiar with a variety of the field €™s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to perform functions of the job. Performs oversight of systems and operations associated with hypergolic propellants, cryogenics, pneumatics and life support equipment.
Requisite Skills
- Extensive knowledge of a variety of the field €™s concepts, practices, and procedures in propellants, or related area will be applied. Extensive background in design and testing of aerospace ground support systems and facilities desirable.
- Advanced PC skills with experience in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), and AutoCAD.
- Must have excellent verbal, technical writing and communication skills
Experience and Education:
Experience: Previous engineering assignments, required. Extensive experience with hypergolic propellants, cryogenics, life support equipment, and high pressure gases desirable. Knowledge of OSHA 29CFR 1910.119 €śProcess Safety Management (PSM) €ť also desirable.
Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, plus 7-8 years of experience or equivalent in related experience. Advanced degree desirable.
Project Engineer I or II, Propellants
Project: J-BOSC, KSC/Cape Canaveral AFS, FL
Under direct supervision provides technical, administrative, and coordination functions related to propellant engineering support. Engineer II also provides budgetary functions. Perform engineering assessments of fixed and mobile propellant systems for operations and maintenance consideration. Relying on instructions and pre-established guidelines, provide calculations and analysis, as required, to determine flow rates, pressures, volume, and commodity integrity.
Requisite Skills::
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in propellants, high pressure gases, or related area.
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent verbal and technical writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance as required.
Experience and Education:
Experience: Zero to five years of engineering experience in cryogenics, hypergols or high pressure gases, or related areas.
Education: BSME, BSChE, BSEE, or BS Aeronautical/Aerospace degree. Florida EIT/PE desirable. |
