DUTIES: The candidate shall be experienced in the maintenance of aircraftejection seats, aircraft air conditioning systems, canopy systems, canopy
jettison/fracturing systems, fire warning/extinguishing systems, OBOGS repair/troubleshooting, Radar Liquid Cooling System servicing, aircraft environmental systems maintenance, and aircraft pressurization systems. PR’s inspect, maintain and repair parachutes, seat pans, survival equipment, flight protective equipment and clothing, pack and rig parachutes, pack and equip life rafts; troubleshoot oxygen systems, repair and test oxygen regulators and Liquid Oxygen (LOX) converters removed from the aircraft, fit and maintain; oxygen masks, flight clothing, anti exposure suits and anti - G suits; operate and maintain carbon dioxide transfer and recharge equipment; operate and repair sewing machines; conduct special calendar/periodic inspections of survival equipment; supervise operation of parachute lofts and survival equipment work centers.
Full time/direct position in California - Relocation assistance and per diem available.
Hourly rate: $26.07, time and a half for Overtime. Completed benefits, vacation, etc.
Shall have a valid US State Drivers License.
Be eligible to qualify for a Secret Level Clearance.
QUALIFICATIONS: Aircraft Mechanic II shall have not less than 5 years USN/USMC/USCG Organizational Level NAMP aircraft maintenance support experience. Shall have not less than 3 years T/M/S specific aircraft maintenance experience for the specific VX-31 T/M/S aircraft hired to maintain. Candidates are strongly desired to be a high school graduate. All shall have completed the appropriate T/M/S Navy Egress Class "C" school. It is preferred to have 2 years T/M/S experience within the last 3 years.
