NASA Exploration Mission Directorate Industry Day
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (ESMD) will present to industry an overview of upcoming acquisition activities related to the implementation of the Vision for Space Exploration. The objective of this forum is to provide industry with particulars focused on the following:
- Overview of the Crew Explorations Vehicle (CEV) Request for Proposal (RFP);
- Overview and Pre-solicitation for the draft Systems Engineering & Information (SE&I) Request for Proposal (RFP); and
- Overview of planned Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for Research and Technology and information on the Centennial Challenges Program
The industry day will be conducted on Friday March 11, 2005 at the U.S. Department of Commerce Auditorium, 14th and Constitution Ave. NW, Washington D.C. from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EDT. The presentations will be unclassified.
REGISTRATION
PRE-REGISTRATION
Due to limited seating, individuals who plan to attend the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate Industry Day are REQUIRED to pre-register. All participants will be required to show photo identification upon arrival and will be subject to personal inspection.
Attendees should respond to Derek Wang at (202) 358-5185 or via email at derek.wang-1@nasa.gov, by Monday March 7, 2005. Please provide your full name/title, company or affiliation, phone number and email address. If special assistance is required, please provide notification with pre-registration information. To accommodate all interested firms, NASA requests that each company business unit or division limit the number of attendees to six (6) people.
The deadline for pre-registration is Monday, March 7, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. EDT.

NON-U.S. CITIZENS
Foreign national attendees (i.e., non-U.S. citizens) are REQUIRED to pre-register and submit their passport number with their pre-registration email.
SECURITY
Event attendees will be required to present a valid form of government identification. Participants will be subject to personal inspection (e.g., passing through a metal detector), prior to entering the auditorium.

Metro:
Metro stops are Metro Center (red/blue/orange) or Federal Triangle (blue/orange).
- Metro Center is located at 12th & E-- walk to 14th, turn left towards the Mall. Building on left. Building entrance is located between Constitution and Pennsylvania Aves.
- Federal Triangle is on 12th, between Constitution and Penn. On 12th, turn right to Constitution, then right on Constitution and walk to 14th. Turn right. Building entrance is located between Constitution and Pennsylvania Aves.

>From I-395 South:
- Take 14th Street exit, following signs to Downtown Route 1. - Cross Constitution Avenue - Ronald Reagan International Trade Center Parking Garage will be your right. - Parking is available at the Trade Center ($15.00 for 3-10 hours - arrival before 0900) - U.S. Department of Commerce is directly across from the Trade Center. - Building entrance is located between Constitution and Pennsylvania Aves.
