Gov. Schwarzenegger released the following statement today regarding the success of the Deep Impact mission:
"I want to congratulate the hard working men and women at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena and scientists across our country and the world for the success of their 'Deep Impact' mission.
"I had the great opportunity last year to visit JPL during the early days of the Mars Exploration Rover. I remember the incredible enthusiasm they had for discovery and knowledge. I want to thank everyone involved for their hard work and I hope they continue to expand the boundaries of human knowledge so we can understand more about the world and universe that we live in."
