Governor Schwarzenegger Welcomes Home
Space Shuttle Discovery and Seven Astronauts

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger issued the following statement today welcoming space shuttle Discovery's STS-114 crew to California:

"On behalf of all Californians I am proud to welcome home the seven brave men and women of the Discovery mission," said Governor Schwarzenegger. "Each member of this team has contributed to increasing our understanding of the universe, science and exploration.  Their courage, quest for knowledge and thirst for discovery is to be commended."

Discovery landed today [August 9] at the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center, at Edwards Air Force Base in Edwards, CA.
