Quintron Supports Multiple Launch Programs on Both Coasts

Santa Maria, CA (June 27, 2007) - Quintron, the recognized leader in advanced interoperable voice systems and physical access control/intrusion detection systems, today announced that its mission critical DICES communications system supported two rocket launch operations during the month of June - the Delta II on June 7th and the Atlas V on June 15th.

The Delta II recently lifted off from the Space Launch Complex 2 (SLC-2) at Vandenberg AFB, California, successfully launching the Italian-built COSMO-SkyMed satellite, which will be used for Earth observation research.

The COSMO satellite (Constellation of Small Satellites for Mediterranean Basin Observation) contains high-resolution radar instrumentation that will provide data for both military and scientific applications. A second COSMO satellite is scheduled for launch on a Delta II vehicle from SLC-2 in late 2007 or early 2008.

The Delta family of rockets is operated by United Launch Alliance (ULA), a recently formed joint venture of the former Boeing and Lockheed Martin launch groups. The COSMO-SkyMed launch was the first ULA commercial satellite launch support for Boeing Launch Services, a division of Boeing Network and Space Systems.

The Atlas V National Reconnaissance Office space launch was at Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL.

"We are extremely proud that our DICES products continue to provide excellent support to these critical launches by our ULA customers on both coasts," said David Wilhite, Vice President of Quintron's Telecommunications Systems Division. "Quintron has provided similar services for countless launches over the years and each new success builds on the joint legacy of all companies involved."

An aggressive plan for continued launches is underway for Boeing's Delta II, Delta IV, and Lockheed Martin's Atlas V launch programs, which are supported by Quintron's DICES communications systems on both coasts.
