The current Ikhana wildfire imaging mission being flown out of Dryden is expected to be featured on CNN's "Situation Room" report with Wolf Blitzer this afternoon. The program begins at 1 p.m. PDT.

CNN science reporter Miles O'Brien and his video crew visited Dryden Thursday afternoon, and interviewed several NASA Dryden and NASA Ames personnel involved in the current flights and the recent Western States Fire Mission. Among those interviewed were Dryden Ikhana pilot Hernan Posada, project manager Brent Cobleigh and Ames engineer Don Sullivan. Dryden technician Kent Dunwoody and Ames engineers Ted Hildum may also be featured in the video segments.

O'Brien also viewed operations from the ground control station and watched the pilots land Ikhana. The CNN video crew also filmed the aircraft landing and post-flight activity at Pad 21.

O'Brien's live report will originate from the Irvine, Calif., area.
