Mojave Town Hall Held on "Aerospace Business Development"
On March 4, a Mojave townhall meeting was held by California Senator Roy Ashburn and Assemblyman Bill Maze / Aerospace Business Development Seminar‰ focusing on EDD and WIB, State Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank, Enterprise Zone Program, Office of Military and Aerospace Support, and the Employment Training Panel. Lt. Gen. Brian Arnold Retiring
On March 18, the Air Force announced that LtGen Arnold will be retiring July 2005. He will have had 34 years of service, culminating in the last 4 years as commander, Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Air Force Space Command, Los Angeles Air Force Base; and as the the program executive officer for Air Force space.

Congressmam Calvert Addresses CSA Luncheon Gathering
Rep. Ken Calvert, Chairman of the House Space and Aeronautics Subcommittee, discussed NASA and its space exploration activities at a luncheon meeting, hosted by CSA, in Los Angeles on March 23. More than 85 members of the space enterprise community were present to welcome the new subcommittee chairman.

NASA Aeronautics Researcher Robert Dale Reed Dies
Robert Dale Reed, a distinguished NASA aeronautics researcher who pioneered Lifting Body and remotely piloted research aircraft programs at the Dryden Flight Research Center in the 1960s and 70s has died. Reed, 75, passed away Friday, March 18.
