CSA to Lead Multi-Regional Workforce Development Partnership
The U.S. Department of Labor recently announced that California/CSA was one of 13 national awardees in their Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development (WIRED) grant program. Coordinating with the California Employment Development Department (EDD), CSA has established partnerships with 68 industry and workforce development stakeholder organizations in 13 California counties. CSA will lead this $15M effort over 3 years.

It's time to make plans to return to the nation's capital for CA Space Week 2006. Please join CSA in Washington, D.C., the week of March 27 for meetings with members and staff of the California Congressional delegation as well as key executive branch officials. SMC Industry Days, April 11-13
Mark your calendars now and watch for more information. This event will be held at the Long Beach Marriott. CSA is offering exhibit space to small companies for SMC Industry Days. The exhibits will cost $1,000 and include one free conference registration. The number is limited to 14 due to available space. Please contact Eric for details.

2004 Plan Implementation Winding Down 2007 Plan Development Beginning
The 2004 California Space Enterprise Strategic Plan implementation period ends at the end of 2006. To ensure continuity of California space enterprise strategic planning, CSA will be coordinating final implementation of the 2004 Plan in conjunction with development of a new ã2007-2009 California Space Enterprise Strategic Planä in the coming months. If you would like to be involved with either process, please indicate your interest to Matt Everingham

Technology Review and Update is a short course designed for military, government and civilian technical personnel and decision makers interested in refreshing and updating their knowledge in important technical areas.

National Conference on Aviation and Space Education
October 19-21, 2006. Arlington, Virginia. The National Conference on Aviation and Space Education (NCASE) will focus on the core subject areas with an emphasis toward hands-on, minds-on sessions applied to National Standards, Standards of Learning, and 'No Child Left Behind'. Educators will be eligible to earn 30 contact hours.
