Governor Postpones Trade Mission to India
On August 31, Governor Schwarzenegger announced the postponement of a trade mission to India that had been scheduled for November 11-16, 2007. The trade mission is expected to be rescheduled for a later date. Cal Poly SLO Sweeps Human Powered Vehicle Contest
Dear Colleagues: We have just learned that Cal Poly team of Human Powered Vehicle has won the world competition (held in Venezuela) in ALL categories. Our team swept this international competition. Tinkering Day, November 3
Tinkering Day, part of John Ratzenberger's Discovery & Invention event, will feature interactive exhibitions designed to plant the seeds of discovery and invention. Participants will imagine, build, fix and create at various workstations that are sponsored by some of America's best manufacturers, machinists, tradesmen, technical programs and more.
Registration Opens for World's Largest Rocket Contest
Thousands of students across the country can start their efforts toward becoming champion rocketeers as registration opens for the Team America Rocketry Challenge. Applications for the world's largest rocket contest are now available. Teams of middle and high school students have until Nov. 30 to complete the paperwork and register for the challenge.
