Castle Air Museum![]() The Castle Air Museum has over 46 aircraft on outdoor display including rare examples of the B-24 Liberator, the last RB-36 Peacekeeper, B-52 Stratofortress, KC-135 Tanker, British B-2 Vulcan, B-25 Mitchell Bomber, the SR-71 Blackbird, plus fighter, bomber and cargo aircraft from World War II, the Korean and Viet Nam. Donations of military memorabilia from veterans of all wars and services gladly accepted. 5050 Santa Fe Drive Approximately 10% is space-related. Castle Science and Technology Center![]() The Castle Science and Technology Center is a discovery science museum featuring hands-on, interactive exhibits geared to bringing out the explorer in all of us. Open to the general public, the Science and Technology Center serves as a science resource for schools and tour groups. It's not just academics, it's a fun, interactive, thought provoking experience for all. Linking the technologies of the past with the technologies of the future, the Science and Technology Center explains the principles of aviation, physics, chemistry and other sciences of our everyday life in an entertaining and often humorous way. Special educational programs meeting state and national math and science standards are available for K-12 school and private groups. 3460 Challenger Way Approximately 65% is space-related. Challenger Learning Center of the San Joaquin ValleyLocated at the former Castle Air Force Base in Atwater, California, the Challenger Learning Center (CLC) incorporates the thrill and adventure of space flight with the "down to earth" fundamentals of math and science. Along with acquiring a greater appreciation for math and science, three very important skills are taught as well - TEAM WORK, PROBLEM SOLVING, and COMMUNICATION. 3460 Challenger Way Note: reservations/plans must be made ahead of time. Saxon Jr. Aerospace MuseumThis museum focuses on the history of the Aerospace Valley, including the Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base, the Air Force Research Laboratory, and surrounding communities.
